Jimmy Robinson picked up a camera in 1981 in order to capture images of the second space shuttle launch. Looking at the launch through the lens of a camera, he was hooked and has never stopped seeing through a camera lens or looking skyward since. As a media representative at the third launch however, he realized his knowledge of photography was extremely limited. He started reading, experimenting, shooting whenever possible, and has never looked back. Twenty-seven years later, he continues to look for new ideas and techniques, and ways to improve his photography; the process of improving as a photographer never stops. He also looks to the ground and sees what is around him to photograph. The whole world is a subject and a camera is always ready to capture those moments of time. And when that moment just right, the image is magical. It is the pursuit of all photographers to catch those elusive 'magic moments' and Jimmy continues to look for them through his camera.
